Why do we have a three subject program?
Pre-school through Basic Dance 1 & 2 students get an intro to ballet and tap as well as some creative movement and basic tumbling (45 minutes – 1 hour).  Intermediate and Advanced classes continues with a more formal training of ballet, jazz, and tap.  (1 and 1/2 hours)  (Hip hop will be taught within the jazz classes and Lyrical style (a jazz-ballet hybrid) will be introduced when the class is ready.)  To get a well rounded dance training, all three subjects are required.  They all balance each other like Math is needed to take Science and English is needed to take History.  The older more
serious student may add a technique class, to their regular class in order to further improve his/her technique.

What about the recital?

It will be a grand performance with beautiful costumes,   scenery, props, and of course, fabulous dancing!  It is a great learning experience as we get to show off what we learned all year.  It is our own Broadway show!  My customers love that our shows are not long-the longest recital was just under 2 hours.

Why the Dress Code?

The uniformity allows the instructor to properly correct the student’s alignment problems, (this helps to prevent injury) and makes it easier to find any mistakes in the choreography.  It also makes the class appear and act more professional.  The Pre-school and first grade classes are less advanced technically and do not need to be as uniform.
